the eagle has landed

Say HELLO to Grandin Court's new Mascot and friend, our very own EAGLE!  He will be making appearances whenever and wherever he is needed!

Three individuals dressed in historical costumes, including wigs and elaborate outfits, stand together in what appears to be a classroom or educational setting with various decorations and items in the background.

Wednesday, February 7, was the 4th grade's Virginia Studies project presentation day!

Pictured here:  Ky-rie Harris delivered a first-person report dressed as George Washington, Cate Burtis dressed as Thomas Jefferson, and Elizabeth Hamilton came as Patrick Henry.   The costumes worked as visual aids while they reported on the people. They were invited to first grade to share later in the day.   See "Eagle Newsroom" below for more!

picture of bracelets

Our fifth-grade girls' club, Outstanding Girls Sporting Pearls, has been working with adviser Sheree Thomas and retired kindergarten teacher, Karen Bethel, to increase self-worth through affirming who they are. This culminated with them making pearl and letter bracelets expressing this very thing.

The image shows a group of people, likely participating in a %22Dance-a-thon%22 event, as indicated by the text overlay. The people in the foreground are enthusiastically dancing and raising their arms, while the background features colorful lights and decorations, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
